FDA Plans To Limit Tobacco Flavoring

Menthol and fruit flavors make cigarettes more enticing and much more addictive. Now the Food and Drug Administration could possibly limit their use in tobacco products. The FDA also took its first steps last week to possibly lower the amount of nicotine in cigarettes. The agency's commissioner said protecting children is its main goal. He said flavored tobacco products "appeal to kids and promote youth initiation."
