Trump’s Wall: Eight Border Wall Prototypes On Display In San Diego
Published on October 16, 2017
President Donald Trump is going shopping for a new border wall.
The president is testing out a few prototypes for his proposed 2,000-mile wall on the Mexican border. Eight samples were recently erected in San Diego, with the smallest at 18 feet high and the tallest at 30 feet. Trump is expected to pick his favorite at the end of the month.
Designed to "deter illegal crossings," the wall could cost an estimated $20 billion. But the president asked Congress for just $1.6 billion, saying Mexico will eventually pay the rest of the bill.
If Mexico's most recent statement is any indication, our neighbors to the South won't pay for a wall "under any circumstances."
