Scientists Say This Is The Right Way To Get Your Five-A-Day

A study has found that eating two portions of fruit and three portions of vegetables is the optimal way to get your five-a-day. According to the study, eating this many portions of fruit and vegetables a day could help you to live longer. This amount likely offers the most benefit in terms of prevention of major chronic disease and is a relatively achievable intake for the general public, Dong D Wang, lead study author. For the study, the researchers examined data that represented nearly 2 million adults around the world. They also found that not all fruits and vegetables offer the same benefit. Peas, corn, potatoes and fruit juices were not associated with a reduced risk of death
