DaBaby has defended himself after receiving backlash for comments he made during his show at Rolling Loud Miami.
The rapper made several comments during his performance, which many social media users called homophobic.
If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two or three weeks, put your cellphone light up, DaBaby.
He responded to the backlash on his Instagram stories in a series of 19 videos.
DaBaby said that what he does at a live show is "for the audience" and it doesn't translate correctly.
The rapper went on to tell everyone not present at his performance to "shut the f*** up".
He said that all of his fans, "the gay ones and the straight ones, we turned the f*** up".
DaBaby said that he wasn't going on a rant during the performance, it was a "call to action".
He then criticized those bringing "negative attention and energy”.
