The Portland Trail Blazers have announced that center Jusuf Nurkic has suffered a fractured right wrist.
Nurkic sustained the injury in the Blazers' 111-87 loss to the Indiana Pacers.
He had a rough start of the season, it looked like he was getting back on track. Obviously, this is a big setback for him and for us, Terry Stotts, Portland Coach.
Nurkic was previously on the sidelines for 16 months after breaking his left leg in March of 2019.
Nurkic had started all 12 games for the Blazers this year, having played just 8 games in the 2019-20 season.
He had been averaging 10.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, a steal, and a block in 23.6 minutes per game this season.
The Blazers are waiting on confirmation of how long Nurkic will be sidelined for with the injury.
