Kanye West Spent $12M Of His Own Money On Presidential Campaign

Kanye West spent nearly $12.5 million of his own money on his 2020 presidential campaign. West's Federal Election Commission report says he raised just over $2 million in donations from external contributions. West spent a total of $13.2 million during his campaign, meaning each of his 66,000 votes cost him $200 each. West announced he would run as a member of his “Birthday Party” in July last year but ended his campaign four months later. In comparison, now President Joe Biden raised more than $1 billion for his campaign. West’s 0.04% share of the votes meant he finished in sixth place in the presidential election
