The deal also reportedly includes future recordings.

The deal is unlike other music catalog acquisitions as it involves his recorded music rather than his songwriting catalog.
Song acquisition has become a big business in recent years, with Hipgnosis Songs Fund leading the way.
The company has the rights to music by Shakira, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham.
Universal Music reportedly spent $300 million to obtain Bob Dylan’s song catalog.
