A new report from the Electronic Software Association has revealed that nearly 227 million Americans play video games.
According to the report, 80% of gamers in the US are over the age of 18, with the average age being 31.
The vast majority of gamers agree that video games provide mental stimulation and stress relief.
More than three-quarters of gamers play with others online or in person at least once a week.
The report also found that the pandemic had a significant impact on how people play video games.
55% of people said that they played more games during the pandemic and will continue to do so after the country opens up.
