Taylor Swift is countersuing the theme park in Utah that accused her of trademark infringement for her album ‘Evermore’.
Evermore Park claimed that Swift’s album caused “actual confusion and negatively affected their search engine placement”.
The singer’s attorneys called these claims “baseless” and ignored a cease-and-desist letter the theme park sent.
Swift’s legal team claims that Evermore Park has been playing her music “without authorization or license agreement”.
The countersuit specifically names three of the singer’s songs, ‘Love Story’, ’You Belong to Me’ and ‘Bad Blood’.
In 2019, the park was sent a letter by the performance rights organization BMI over its use of unlicensed music.
Swift’s attorneys said the park eventually responded to their letters after being informed of the pending countersuit.
