A sketchbook containing lyrics and drawings by the rock band Radiohead has been sold in the UK for £5,000.
The sketchbook was used by the band while they rehearsed their iconic 1995 album ‘The Bends’ in a barn in 1994.
The seller was asked to clean out the barn and told that he could keep anything they left behind.
The reserve price for the sketchbook was £12,000, but the seller accepted the highest bid of £5,000 when the auction finished.
The sketchbook was described as “an incredible piece of memorabilia linked to Radiohead's early recording history”.
It includes lyrics to some of the band’s classic songs, as well an unreleased song called ‘Dead Bank Clerk’.
A 1960 Fender Precision bass guitar used by Colin Greenwood to record 'Fake Plastic Trees’ was also sold for £6,000.
