Anna Wintour Defends Kamala Harris' Vogue Cover

Anna Wintour has responded to criticism of U.S. Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ recent Vogue cover photos.
One Twitter user commented that the photo with the green and pink background was “washed out, poorly lit, stagnant, junk”.
While another criticized Vogue staff saying, “What professional magazine would use the picture on the left as a cover?”.
In a statement, Vogue said they chose the informal images as they believe it captures Harris’ “authentic, approachable nature”.
Anna Wintour reiterated this point in an interview with the New York Times' ‘Sway’ podcast.
