Warner Bros. has delayed a number of major releases including four DC movies and Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’.
The four DCEU movies that have been delayed are ‘The Batman’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Black Adam’, and ‘Shazam 2’.
The Batman, which is still in the middle of production, will now be released on March 4, 2022.
The Flash has been moved from June 3 to November 4, 2022, while Shazam 2 will now open on June 2, 2023.
Black Adam, which was originally set to release in December of 2021, has been removed from the release calendar entirely.
The big-budget adaptation of Frank Herbert’s iconic novel ‘Dune’ will now be released on October 1, 2021.
However, ‘Wonder Woman: 1984’ is still set to release this December, making it the last remaining big release of 2020.
With very few major films to show over the next six months, theaters may not be able to afford to continue operating.
