A programmer named Stefan Thomas has lost his password to a hard drive that contains over $240 million worth of Bitcoin.
Thomas has already tried eight possible passwords, meaning he only has two more attempts to unlock the hard drive.
After ten failed attempts, the password will encrypt itself, making the wallet impossible to access.
Ten years ago, Thomas was given 7,002 Bitcoins as payment for making a video explaining how cryptocurrency works.
At the time, the Bitcoins were only worth a few dollars each. Now, one bitcoin is worth $34,000.
Thomas is not the only person to have been locked out of his Bitcoin fortune.
Reports say that there is currently $140 billion worth of Bitcoin that is either lost or left in wallets that cannot be accessed
