How To Stop Your TikTok Account From Getting Hacked
Provided By - Video Elephant on July 30, 2021
If you have spent a lot of time on TikTok recently, you may want to make sure your account is secure.
If your account isn't secure, you could lose all your creations and data to hackers. Here’s how to keep your account safe.
Use A Strong Password
The first step to securing your TikTok account is having a strong password that is difficult to guess.
Try using a password that is 12 characters long that includes lowercase and uppercase letters, numerals and symbols.
Don’t Reuse A Password
Try not to use the same password for your TikTok account as you do for another account you own.
Having one single password for all your accounts makes it super easy for attackers to hack your TikTok account.
Turn On 2-Step Verification
In TikTok's security settings, make sure to enable 2-Step Verification. This will require you to give TikTok your phone number.
This feature means TikTok will send you a one-time code every time someone tries logging in to your account.
Anyone trying to sign in to your account will need to enter this verification code to access your account.
