The US Soccer Federation has offered identical contracts to the men’s and women’s teams.
The USSF said its goal is to align the two teams under a single collective bargaining agreement structure.
"US Soccer firmly believes that the best path forward for all involved, and for the future of the sport in the United States, is a single pay structure for both senior national teams," US Soccer Federation.
The news comes after players from the women’s team filed a lawsuit against the USSF over equal pay.
However, the claim for equal pay was thrown out in May 2020 and an appeal was later launched.
The USSF is also calling upon the two-player associations to find a way to equalize FIFA World Cup prize money.
The USSF says they will not agree to any collective bargaining agreement that does not equalize FIFA World Cup prize money.
