Nirvana fans now have the chance to own six strands of the late Kurt Cobain’s hair. It’s being auctioned off by Iconic Auctions.
The hair is part of the ‘Amazing Music Auction’ and is being sold alongside items from Led Zeppelin and The Beatles.
According to the listing, the hair is from a haircut he had in 1989 while in the UK supporting Nirvana’s debut album ‘Bleach’.
The “one-of-a-kind artifact” includes pictures of Cobain posing with Tessa Osbourne, the woman who cut the hair.
Osbourne was an “early confidant” of Cobain’s who gifted the hair to artist Nicole DePolo after his tragic death in 1994.
According to an affidavit signed by DePolo, Osbourne was the person who first gave Cobain his signature haircut.
The minimum bid for the six strands of Cobain’s hair is $2,500.
