Disney Responds To Scarlett Johansson’s ‘Black Widow’ Lawsuit

Scarlett Johansson has sued Disney over its decision to release Black Widow on Disney+ on the same day it hit theaters.
Johansson claims that the decision has cost her millions of dollars in backend compensation.
Disney has released a statement saying that “there is no merit whatsoever to this filing”.
The lawsuit is especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney Statement.
Disney went on to say that Johansson has already received $20 million for her work.
Black Widow set a pandemic-era box office record with an $80 million debut in North America.
The movie earned an additional $78 million overseas
