‘A Quiet Place Part II’ is the first pandemic-era movie to surpass $100 million at the US box office.
The movie opened in the US on May 28 and has since generated over $109M domestically and $90M internationally.
‘A Quiet Place Part II’ stars Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy.
The movie, which was directed by John Krasinski, generated $48 million in its first three days.
Warner Bros. and Legendary’s ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ is also close to hitting the $100 million mark.
The movie, which was released on HBO Max and in theaters in April, has currently made $99.6 million in ticket sales.
Ticket sales have been slow to recover ever since the COVID-19 pandemic forced theaters to close in 2020
