NASA has decided to extend the Jupiter Juno mission and the Mars InSight lander mission.
This is because both missions have "produced exceptional science".
After a long review process, NASA found that both missions “increased our understanding of our solar system”.
These two planetary science missions are likely to continue to bring new discoveries and produce new questions about our solar system, Lori Glaze, director of the planetary science division at NASA.
The Juno mission has made many important discoveries including images of a never before seen “snow white” oval storm.
The Juno Mission was due to finish in July 2021, but it will now continue until September 2025.
The Mars InSight lander mission has been extended to at least December 2022
