It’s been announced that Mick Fleetwood has sold his share of Fleetwood Mac royalties to BMG.
BMG has acquired his entire royalty interest in over 300 of the band’s recordings across all of their albums, except two.
These being 1975’s self-titled album and 1968’s ‘Mr. Wonderful’.
How much the musician sold his share for is currently unknown. However, he did praise BMG for putting artists first.
If this partnership is any indication of my past, and now future, working relationship with BMG, it’s that they truly ‘get it’, Mick Fleetwood.
This comes as Fleetwood’s bandmate Stevie Nicks sold an 80% interest in her catalog for $100 million.
Former bandmate Lindsey Buckingham also recently sold his music publishing rights
