Jordan Binnington has signed a six-year contract extension worth $36 million with the St. Louis Blues.
Binnington wanted to keep his deal low to ensure St. Louis can build a competitive team around him.
It's not all about money to me. At the end of the day, I think what you look back on and you feel in your heart is the memories made and competing and being successful, Jordan Binnington.
The 27-year-old was set to be a free agent this season before the contract extension but will now remain until 2027.
The contract extension will count as $6 million towards the Blues' salary cap through to the 2026-27 season.
Binnington has an overall record of 63-24-11 and a .908 save percentage so far this season.
