Reports of unidentified flying objects grew dramatically last year during the coronavirus pandemic.
According to data compiled by the National U.F.O. Reporting Center, reports of U.F.O. sightings rose by 1,000 nationwide in 2020.
More than 7,200 sightings were reported to the organization, according to the data.
Meanwhile, reports of sightings nearly doubled in New York over the previous year to about 300.
Experts say that the coronavirus lockdown is likely the reason for the increase in reports due to more people staying at home.
The mandatory lockdowns across the country also reduced light pollution, allowing people to see the sky more clearly.
