Arctic Monkeys In "Early Stages" Of Making A New Album

Matt Helders of the Arctic Monkeys has revealed that the band is in the “early stages of trying to write a [new] record”. During an Instagram live the drummer said that the band faced “obvious obstacles” while working on their next album. In October 2020, Helders was photographed in a recording studio, leading fans to believe that new music is on the way. Helders said that the band would have been making their next album now if it was “a normal time”. Last month the Arctic Monkeys’ manager revealed that the band had initially planned to record the album in the summer of 2020. The guys are beavering away and I hope that next year they’ll start working on some new songs, new ideas, with a view on a future release, Manager of the Arctic Monkeys
