Activision’s ‘Call of Duty Endowment’ charity has helped a record number of military veterans find jobs in 2020.
The charity aims to help soldiers find new civilian jobs after they leave the service.
The Call of Duty Endowment helped to place 15,446 military veterans in jobs in 2020.
This is the highest yearly job placement number since the Endowment was founded in 2009.
The Endowment saw an opportunity during the lockdown to inform and engage a growing community of gamers, who were eager to show their support for veterans, Activision.
In 2020, Activision franchises such as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Call of Duty sold in-game items to benefit the charity.
A charity esports tournament, the C.O.D.E Bowl, was held to raise awareness for the initiative.
This event raised $900,000 for the charity.
