Bruce Springsteen has “respectfully declined” to have a New Jersey rest stop named after him.
Some of New Jersey’s biggest stars are being honored by having rest stops along the New Jersey Turnpike named after them.
The stars that will be honored include Jon Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston and James Gandolfini.
The stops will feature a display curated by the New Jersey Hall of Fame, as well as posters designed by Michael Grave.
A spokesperson for the New Jersey Hall of Fame confirmed that Springsteen had “respectfully declined” the honor.
It should be noted, though, that Bruce has been very supportive of the New Jersey Hall of Fame over the years, and is very much a part of the fabric of the Hall, New Jersey Hall of Fame Spokesperson.
