Tom Herman has joined the Chicago Bears, coaching staff, as an offensive analyst/special projects coach.
Herman was previously the head coach of the University of Texas before he was fired at the end of the 2020 season.
The 45-year-old had a record of 32-18 over the four seasons he spent with the longhorns.
Herman has a reputation as an innovative offensive mind and will be joining one of the worst offenses in the NFL.
They ranked 26th in yards per game last season and scored just 23.3 points per game.
Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy will be hoping to see improvement in those areas with the hire of Herman.
